Just a little something about our family here in the desert. We are an active, loving, spiritual family that enjoys being together. Whether it is on the football field, wrestling mat, baseball diamond or pageant stage, we cheer each other on and celebrate that we are together doing what we love. :)

Rush won their 2nd game!!! HOORAH! It was such a great game. The other team scored right away and then we didn't let them score again! End score was 20-6! What a season this is turning out to be :)

RUSH football 2011
Along with the high school team's footbasll season starting, Pop Warner also started. Noah has played for the last 6 years and always as a nose guard. He is always the smallest one on the team, but he has the biggest heart in the game. He loves playing. We love watching him. Except when the other team puts 2 players on him to keep him from tackling. I have to look away when that happens :( It is still alot of fun and the stands go crazy. Noah's BFF is on his team (that's where we all met), and during the professional picture session, I got a few pictures of the two of them goofing off.
PVHS football!
It's that time again! FOOTBALL!!!! Jordan made the dance team this year so she gets to dance on the field during halftime at all the Varsity games. It is pretty cool, and reminds me of my old dance team days. She really loves it. I am going to try to get the video of the first dance up here....

Camping trip 2011
This weekend we had an amazing camping trip. We left on Friday for Lehman Caves. It is in Baker Nevada. About a 6 hour drive from our house. They have the best camp sites and it is truly my favorite place to go camping. When we arrived it was raining in the town, but when we got up to our site, (15 minutes up the mountain), it had already passed. So we took a few moments, found the PERFECT site, and set up camp. We were right next to the creek and very secluded. It was wonderful. It was off and on rain. In fact on the second day, we spent a few hours in the tent giggling, cuddling and having tickle wars. When the rain stopped, the kids went over to the creek and caught 2 trout with their bare hands! We cooked them up on the BBQ and Gerry and KC ate them and said they were the best they had ever had. Then on Sunday morning we left that campsite and drove down to Eagle Valley for some fishing. It started out raining so we were the only ones there. Gerry caught 2 trout there and after about 5 hours we got ahold of his cousin Kelley and drove to Ely. There we stayed at Uncle Tommy's cabin and then in the morning, Kelley took us to his "secret" fishing hole. I think it's called Ippitah. It is just a small little lake where the trout were jumping all over the place! Noah caught the first fish by the fin! Then He caught another, Jordan caught one, Gerry and Kelley caught the last ones. KC, Sherri (another cousin) and I didn't get any fish THIS TIME! ;) Then we drove home through Tonopah and stopped to look in the haunted hotel in Goldfield, and candy shop in Beatty at the candy store. It was such a great weekend, we didn't want it to end! I took so many pictures I had to do more than one slide show!
Noah turned 10!!!
On July 27th we celebrated our last 10 year old birthday. Noah had a few friends over and they all played on his new slip and slide. There was so much laughter and fun. Then we brought out the pizza and candy. That was gone in seconds! Noah was so surprized to see his Captain America ice cream cake. All in all, it was a success!
Lysa came to visit!
Lysa and Sean came to visit us out of the blue! It was sooo good to see them again. Lysa is Gerry's daughter from his first marriage and Sean is her son. The kids have really been missing her so her visit was very much appreciated. We can't wait until they get to visit us again :)
Girl's Camp 2011
Jordan went to girl's Camp again. She always has so much fun and makes memories that will last a lifetime. I love that it builds her testimony every year. Our ward's theme was Rubies.
MNOT competition
Jordan competed in the Miss Nevada Outstanding Teen pageant this summer. She was so beautiful. She did awesome and had a blast. We loved going out to cheer her on too!

Picture day...
Today we went up to the Las Vegas temple and took pictures. It was such a perfect day outside. Great weather, perfect location and on the way home, with the windows rolled down and some country music on, it put us all in great moods. So we decided to pull off the highway onto a random road and take a few more "just for fun" pictures. The day ended with a little craft project and a TON of giggles from knock knock jokes :)
I wish every day could be like today......

We had an amazing weekend!
This weekend has been sooo cool for our little family :)
First Jordan tried out for the high school dance team....AND MADE IT!!! She worked so hard to learn the dances and now she is a Trojanette! Great job Jordan :)
Next we drove out to Moapa Valley and Mesquite Friday and Saturday for Jordan to compete in the Southern Counties/ Lake Mead Outstanding Teen pageant.
We stayed at our good friends house and while Jordan was preparing, Noah and I went to the Clark County fair. We got to see all the wonderful artists and walk around to the different booths. Then we went to Noah's favorite part and he rode on all the rides. While we were there, it started snowing on us!!! We still had a blast.
When it was showtime, we sat in the audience and cheered as loud as we could for Jordan. Then, SHE WON!!!
It was awesome! We definitely had a great weekend. One that won't be forgotten for a long time :)
