This past weekend I got to fly up to the San Francisco bay area where all of my fasmily is, and surprise my sister in law at her baby shower. It was so much fun and she had no clue she was getting a shower or that I was coming in to see them all.
So the shower was at the cutest place ever called Lisa's Tea Room. It was decorated with tea settings everywhere and looked like an English tea house. It smelled wonderful and everything was so perfect. I am going to have to take my niece there for a "real" tea party soon. We had our choice of tea's and then we were served finger sandwiches and tea cookies. Even the servers were dressed in all black with frilly white aprons. I LOVED every moment.
When Sabina finally walked in she was so surprised that she started crying! That of course had me in tears as well. She got a ton of cute clothes and all the items she needed. It makes the anticipation for baby Clayton to come so much greater so we can play dress up! LOL
So it was a success and I can't wait to go see family again :)
Just a little something about our family here in the desert. We are an active, loving, spiritual family that enjoys being together. Whether it is on the football field, wrestling mat, baseball diamond or pageant stage, we cheer each other on and celebrate that we are together doing what we love. :)

Scouts
Yesterday was the second time Noah has been to Cub Scouts. He really enjoys it and loves when it is the day to go. He gets his shirt ready early in the morning and has to wear it all day long! By the time scouts comes around in the afternoon, it doesn't look as crisp as it did when the days stated out. LOL, but he loves it, so we let him. This week, he got to carry the flag in. He was mighty proud of himself! Jordan snapped a couple pictures of him. Then when we came back to pick him up, the boys were playing vollyball with a beachball! He couldn't stop talking about how much fun he had :)

Wrestling Banquet
At the end of wrestling, we put on a banquet to congratulate all of our athletes and thank our sponsors and coaches. We made enough food for 200 people. That included hand piping all of the cupcakes! Tough work, but it turned out beautiful and the head coach was so impressed he took us and the coaches (and spouses) out to dinner at the local Japanese restaurant! It was a lot of fun :)
prepping the fruit trays
TONS of food!
Now to decorate all of the cupcakes!
Done :)
My random idea to incorporate our team colors of black and white.
At the actual banquet.
Then we were taken out to dinner by our beloved head coach, Mike Griffen. Thank you Mike! We had a wonderful night :)
On to the next sport!

Jordan's first Prom
Jordan was asked to prom by her "friend" Bennett. So on saturday we got to drive into Las Vegas and drop her off at Olive Garden where they had dinner then went off to the dance. It was at the Wildhorse Country Club and she had a blast! Gerry, Noah and I got to have a date night out of it. We went to Macayo's, saw the movie Rango and then enjoyed ice cream at Ben and Jerry's! It was really nice and a lot of fun.

at Hooters! Just kidding, it was part of the casino where we went to the movie theater. Unfortunate part of Las Vegas.
So that was our fun and Jordan's prom. I think we had enough of Vegas for a while!

Wrestling season is over :(
Our family is big time into sports. Our favorite for our son Noah is wrestling. He is really good at it and we enjoy cheering him on at the tournaments. This year he was in the division Midgit weight class 60. So he wrestled kids weighing 55-60 pounds. He did pretty good too. We had a tournament in our own town this year that I organized and he got to take home 2nd place! It was so much fun! Jordan even sang the National anthem at the opening ceremonies! We are sad to see the season end, but ready for a welcomed break from sports until football starts back up in the summer.
